PLAYER REGISTRATION: All players must be listed on their teams’ roster form before the tournament begins. The registration forms must be complete and contain all necessary signatures. Player waiver forms must also be signed by parent or guardian prior to start of play.

ROSTERS: No changes or substitutions to rosters after the start of the team’s first game. All rosters are final at the start of the team’s first game.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: SIX is the maximum number of players on a team; three field players at one time. Players may only play on one team in the tournament. There are no goalkeepers in 3v3 soccer. Substitutions may occur at any dead ball situation, but players must get referees attention and enter and exit at the half field mark only.

GENDER: Teams may consist of same gender or be coed. Co-ed divisions must have at least one female on the field at all times.

EQUIPMENT: All players must wear shin guards. Any player without shin guards will not be allowed to play. Sneakers and indoor soccer shoes only. No outdoor cleats permitted.

FIELD DIMENSIONS: Will be based on the size of each gymnasium.

GOAL BOX: Depends on field size. The goal box will be taped off directly in front of the goal. Generally, ten feet wide by eight feet deep but may be adjusted based on gymnasium size. No player may touch the ball within the goal box, however any player may move through the goal box. Any part of the ball or players body on the line is considered in the goal box; the player is an extension of the goal box. An INFRACTION occurs if a defender touches the ball in the goal box; a penalty kick is then awarded to the offensive team. If an offensive player touches the ball within the goal box, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team. Habitual touches in the goal box MAY result with a Yellow Card given to the offending party. If the ball comes to a complete stop in the box, regardless of which team touched it last, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team.

GAME DURATION: For Elementary and OIS players, the game shall consist of two 10-minute halves separated by a 2-minute halftime, OR the game ends when a team reaches a 10 goal lead. For Jr. & Sr. High players, the game shall consist of a running 20 minute, continuous play, game clock OR the game ends when a team reaches a 10 goal lead. Stoppage time will only occur for an injury. Pool games tied after regulation play shall end in a tie. Playoff games cannot end tied.

GOAL SCORING: Goals can be scored from anywhere on the offensive half of the field of play. A goal cannot be scored directly from a kick-off. For a goal to be awarded during a kickoff, the ball must first be kicked completely off of the halfway line, into the offensive half of the field.

PLAYOFF OVERTIME: Shall consist of a sudden death overtime period, maximum length of 3-minutes, with a coin toss to decide kick-off direction. The first team to score in overtime is the winner. If the score is still tied after the 3-minutes, the winner is decided by a shootout with the three players on the field at the end of the sudden death period. A coin flip will decide which team starts the penalty kick round. If the score remains tied after the first round of penalty kicks the same field players will rotate in a sudden death penalty kick format until one team scores.

SCORING (IN POOL PLAY): 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss.

FORFEITS: A forfeit is scored as 5-0.
