The Octorara Soccer Club Scholarship

    The Octorara Soccer Club awards a $500 scholarships to 1 male and 1 female graduating Octorara senior participant. The check will be made payable to the recipient or the institute of higher education they will attend.

    Candidates for this scholarship shall meet the following criteria:
    1. Must be a member of current graduating class at Octorara Area Senior High School.
    2. Played for OASD in both their Junior & Senior years.
    3. Have been accepted for post secondary study at an accredited institution, be it academic, technical or military.
    4. Maintain a minimum of a 3.00 Grade Point Average.
    5. Exhibit characteristics of sportsmanship, leadership, and integrity.
    6. Be an active participant in school & community activities.

    Candidates should submit the written application containing the following:
    ◾Name
    ◾Address
    ◾OSC playing history
    ◾Name(s) of accredited institution of acceptance or applied to
    ◾List of High School awards and activities
    ◾Brief resume of future plans
    ◾Written response to questions 

    Instructions for completing the Application.

    ◾Fill out the above requested information.
    ◾Email application to [email protected] with HS Scholarship in the subject. If you do not receive a email confirmation back within 48 hours, please email the document again.
    ◾The deadline for submitting applications is 11:59pm EST Sunday October 17, 2021  
    ◾The Scholarships will be awarded on the H.S. Banquet (date TBD)
    ◾Winner will be chosen by vote of OSC board members based on all criteria (essay included) contained in the application, not on GPA alone!
  • More than 1 winner(s) can be chosen at the discretion of the OSC board members if majority vote is had.
