Volunteer Clearances Needed

PA Child Protection Laws & Clearances
PA State Laws have changed and starting July 1, 2015 all volunteers and paid coaches must now complete the following before being allowed to work with children. Please turn in all certificates at one time to the club secretary before your first practice. If you have already completed any of these for another club, sport or school district, the clearances are portable and I will just need a copy, they must be within the last year. Any Volunteer Coaches Over the Age of 17

1. PA State Police Clearance:
need certificate turned in to PRIOR to the start of the season

Free for Volunteers- Time: Usually instant approval. Have to renew every 5 years.

2. PA Child Abuse Clearance:
need certificate turned in to PRIOR to the start of the season

Free for Volunteers- Time: Minimum of 14 days for approval, but possibly longer. Have to renew every 5 years.

3. FBI Background Check: (if you lived in PA for at least 10 years you ONLY need to print the form below and sign).
Volunteers not requiring an FBI check, and have been a continuous resident of PA for the last ten years, must swear or affirm in writing that they have no other convictions that would disqualify them: http://www.keepkidssafe.pa.gov/cs/groups/webcontent/documents/document/c_160267.pdf <----------Print this form, sign and email back to Registrar. If you haven't lived in PA for 10+ years you must do fingerprints.

Cost: $27.50. Time: About 3 weeks for approval. You will need to register online first and then go get fingerprinted at an approved location. Have to renew every 5 years.

4. Concussion Certificate: (coaches and assistant coaches)
need certificate turned in to PRIOR to the start of the season

5. 2018 - 2019 EPYSA Risk Management:
FREE. Have to renew annually.
